Chefs Under Fire 2011 is the 3rd annual culinary competition hosted by Keeper Collection, LLC. Previously a one-night event, Chefs Under Fire has expanded to reach the entire state of Texas, bringing the experience of a culinary battle to even more food lovers.
Chefs Under Fire brings together some of the best chefs in Texas for an intense kitchen battle in front of three Celebrity Chef Judges and Iron Chef America Contenders, Chef David Bull, Chef Tyson Cole, and Chef Kent Rathbun.
Chefs Under Fire will host three Regional Competitions in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Austin/San Antonio and greater Houston areas. Each contestant has to prove they should be selected as a competitor in CUF by submitting a video describing their passions for being (or becoming) a chef. Chosen by a Public Vote and Keeper Collection, the Top Eight contenders in each region will battle in the kitchen to claim the winning Regional Competition title.
The winners from each Regional Competition will battle in the Chefs Under Fire Final Competition on October 16th at the AT&T Executive Education & Conference Center in Austin, TX. During the Final Competition, the finalists will prepare their own unique recipe, featuring the preselected, required ingredients, to the judges and a 300 person audience.
Each finalist’s dish will be critiqued by the Celebrity Chef Judges panel. The recipe that exemplifies the best of taste, originality and presentation according to the overall scores of all three judges will ultimately be declared the Winner of Chefs Under Fire.
After claiming the championship title of Chefs Under Fire 2011, the winner’s recipe will be published in the Plate & Vine Interactive Cookbook. Culinary fame isn’t the only perk to winning this competition… the Chefs Under Fire champion will receive a 7-night stay for up to four guests in a Grand Suite at The Grand Mayan Los Cabos exclusive luxury resort!
